We're excited to welcome new students and families to our schools. To begin the registration process, please contact your student's school directly to schedule a registration appointment. School staff will guide you through the required forms, documents, and next steps.

Rochester Middle School IN PERSON registration will take place at the high school due to an ongoing HVAC project at RMS.

Spanish-speaking staff will be available at the high school during in-person registration to assist families.

For your child's registration, you may need the following information & documents:

Bus routes, including pickup and drop-off times, will be emailed to families before the start of the school year. To help us plan routes efficiently, please ensure your child is registered and that the transportation form is completed accurately.

We appreciate your patience with our transportation team during the first days of school as we adjust to new routes and work to ensure all students are transported safely to and from school.

Before School & After School Programs

Students in Pre-K through 6th grade are eligible to participate in Rochester Community Schools' childcare programs. Families who wish to enroll their child in before school care, after school care, or childcare during Intersession and school break weeks must complete an application and prepay weekly fees for each child. Applications are available at Columbia Elementary School. They will also have a table set up during the Columbia Open House. 

Before- and after-school care is provided at Columbia Elementary School. Students attending Riddle Elementary and Rochester Middle School will be transported by bus between Columbia and their school each day. Weekly fees remain the same regardless of whether a student attends one day or all five days during the week.

Before School Care
6:30 a.m. – 7:45 a.m.

• 1 child: $15.00/week

• 2nd child per family: $10.00/week

• 3rd child per family: $8.00/week

After School Care
2:45 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

• 1 child: $25.00/week

• 2nd child per family: $18.00/week

• 3rd child per family: $16.00/week

Break & Intersession Care
6:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

• 1 child: $85.00/week

• 2nd child per family: $52.00/week

• 3rd child per family: $32.00/week

Break and Intersession Care includes breakfast, lunch, and a snack. Childcare fees may be reduced for students participating in Intersession classes. Additional information will be shared prior to each Break or Intersession period.

Stripes & Smiles Summer Childcare

Looking for a safe, fun, and engaging summer option for your child in 2027? Stripes & Smiles Summer Childcare provides quality care for students enrolled in Rochester Community School Corporation for the 2026-27 school year.

Summer Childcare Program Hours:
Monday–Friday, 6:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Eligibility:
Students must be enrolled in RCSC for the 2026-27 school year to participate.

Cost:
We have a weekly rate with discounts for multiple children. We also work with the Rochester Parks Program and offer discounts to students who are in their program, too. 

Stripes & Smiles Summer Childcare enrollment will open during the Winter 2027!
