Find out which courses you can transfer.
Using Indiana’s Core Transfer Library (CTL) makes it easy to find out. The CTL is a comprehensive, continually updated list of courses that are pre-approved for transfer between all Indiana public college and university campuses and five independent colleges and universities (assuming adequate grades were earned).
NOTE: The CTL database was updated on July 10, 2024, and reflects the current equivalencies for the 2024-2025 Academic Year.
Effective June 6, 2022, Introduction to Astronomy is no longer a CTL course. Students that successfully completed the course prior to June 6, 2022, will receive credit as indicated by the receiving institution.

Core Transfer Library Announcements
On June 30, 2021, Ancilla College ceased operations. On July 1, 2021, Ancilla College became Ancilla College of Marian University. After June 30, 2021 student transcripts from Ancilla College with approved Core Transfer Library courses will continue to be accepted as noted on the database.
Specific Degree Courses
Most CTL courses can be applied to course requirements specified by a degree program. For example, if you enroll in a bachelor’s degree program requiring American History I, any course listed in the CTL under American History I, from any public campus, will satisfy that requirement.
Likewise, if you’re planning to transfer, you can be assured that the American History I course you took at your current campus will apply in the same way as the American History I course at your new campus.
Ivy Tech Community College and Vincennes University are listed only once under each course category, since all Ivy Tech and Vincennes courses count, irrespective of the campus at which the course was taken.
General or Elective Courses
General or elective courses are part of the requirements for most associate and bachelor’s degrees.
Credit hours generated by courses listed in the CTL could potentially be used to satisfy these requirements.
Dual Credit Courses
Indiana colleges and universities provide opportunities for qualified high school students to earn college credit while attending high school by taking Dual Credit courses. You can maximize the transferability of your earned Dual Credits and also meet the Dual Credit requirements for Core 40 with Technical Honors or Core 40 with Academic Honors by selecting courses from the Liberal Arts and/or CTE Dual Credit Crosswalks.
