Better Business Bureau Students of Integrity - 6 scholarships of $2000 each awarded to students who demonstrate ethical leadership and integrity. Due Mar 8.
Optimist Competition - The Rochester Optimist Club is sponsoring an essay contest for all grades (students must be under 19 years old to enter). The essay topic is "how my acts of service help me understand what my community means to me". The local Optimist Club has a cash prize and certificate for the winner of this competition. The winner will also have the ability to move on to the district competition which has the opportunity for a scholarship. Applications may be turned into guidance, submitted to the email on the application or mailed to the address on the application. Due Jan 30.
Beacon Credit Union Scholarship- requires 2 essays, transcript, community service hours, must fill out application online, 5 scholarships of $2,500 each are awarded, application due Jan 31.
NICF Scholarships - local scholarships offered through Northern Indiana Community Foundation. One common application that will match you with any scholarships you are eligible for. Due Feb 5.
Psi Iota Xi - The Eta Mu Chapter offers a scholarship of $2,000 to a graduating senior residing in Fulton County and majoring in one of the following: Art, Literature, Music, Speech and Hearing, or an education major in one of those specific majors. The recipient will receive $500 as they begin their freshman year, $500 as they begin their sophomore year and $1,000 as they begin their junior year if they are still majoring in one of the required areas. William A Smith Memorial - Awarded by the Manitou Moose Lodge 1107. $500 scholarships will be awarded to daughters and sons or grandchildren of Loyal Order of Moose and Women of the Moose members of Lodge 1107 and Chapter 1684. These scholarships are available to high school students with a “C” or better grade average for the purpose of attending an accredited college (4 yr or 2 yr) or accredited technical school. Kiwanis Local Scholarship - Applicants for this scholarship must be RHS graduating seniors and a Key Club Member. A resume with school/community activities including Key Club involvement is needed along with the application. Due Feb 27. Turn applications into guidance.
Rochester Lions Club - Will offer a scholarship to Rochester High School student(s). These are awarded based on scholarship, high school activities and community service. Applicants will need two recommendations, a budget sheet, resume and a one-page profile describing yourself, your goals and your family. These scholarships are open to traditional education colleges or universities as well as vocational and technical schools such as welding, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, automotive, cosmetology, barbering or others requiring non-traditional training. Fulton County Fraternal Order of Police - Scholarship for those pursuing a degree in a law enforcement field. Application, transcript and principal signature required. 1 scholarship awarded for $500. Due Mar 6. Turn applications into guidance.
Jordan Shafer Memorial - The Jordan Shafer Memorial Scholarship has been established to honor one of Rochester High School's finest wrestlers. The scholarship will be awarded to an RHS Senior wrestler or manager. 1 scholarship will be awarded in the second semester of freshman year at a 2-year, 4-year or technical school if C or above average is maintained. Fulton County REMC - Offers a scholarship to establish a program that encourages families of Fulton County REMC members to further their education. One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded and paid to the student at the start of their second semester. Applicant must have parents or grandparents receiving electric service from REMC or has a parent who is an employee of Fulton County REMC. Due Mar 12. Turn applications into guidance.
Brian Hooker Coaches Scholarship - Has been established for the purpose of assisting Rochester High School graduates to help offset the cost of attending their chosen college. The scholarship is designed to be a one-time award that will help the recipient with expenses incurred in their initial year of college. Due Mar 13. Turn applications into guidance.
Rochester Optimist Jim Straeter Scholarship - Scholarship to honor Jim Straeter who was a lifetime member of the Optimist Club and dedicated his life to service of others. This scholarship is a renewable scholarship for a deserving student in the amount of $2,000. Recipients shall show an interest in and aptitude for advancing their education in agriculture, renewable energy or business. A student's involvement in school and community activities will be of high importance to the scholarship committee. Due Mar 13. Turn applications into guidance.
Rochester Optimist Club - Provides seven $1500 scholarships for deserving students. The scholarships may be used for college, vocational, or technical education at an accredited or certified school within the state of Indiana. One of the scholarships given is The Jim Barkman Memorial Optimist Scholarship and it is awarded to a student pursuing a career in education. The following criteria will be considered: educational goals, scholarship, leadership, recommendations submitted, and involvement in school and community activities. Richland Center IOOF - The Richland Center IOOF scholarship is awarded to seniors who reside in Richland Township or have a family member who is a member of the lodge. A resume is required. Due Mar 30. Turn applications into guidance.
Kappa Delta Phi - Will award two scholarships for seniors planning to attend college or vocational school. To apply, write a paragraph about yourself and your educational goals, and a paragraph about your family. A resume, transcript and a budget sheet are also required. Due Mar 31. Woodlawn Hospital Auxiliary - Designed to facilitate the development of an educated healthcare workforce. The Auxiliary is pleased to offer scholarships to Fulton County high school students pursuing healthcare vocations at an accredited college. Scholarships will be given to applicants on the basis of academic performance, educational goals, financial need and other factors related to school, and community involvement. A personal interview may be required. Applications should be returned to Woodlawn Health, Attn Jason See, Chaplain, 1400 E Ninth St, Rochester IN 46975. Due Apr 1.
Fraternal Eagles Lodge and Eagles Auxiliary Scholarship - Offer scholarships for students planning to attend a two-year or four-year college. A resume and a budget sheet are required. Due Apr 1. Turn applications into guidance.
Daughters of the American Revolution - For senior women, this scholarship is worth $500. You do not need to be a part of the Daughters of the American Revolution to win. RCTA Scholarship - Offers a scholarship for a student(s) entering the field of education. If still pursuing a career in education, the recipient will receive the award upon completion of their sophomore year. A resume and budget sheet are required along with three teacher’s recommendations. The teachers selected must represent elementary, middle, and high school. Due Apr 2. Rochester Rotary Club - Each year the Rochester Rotary Club presents one $1,000 scholarship to prospective and/or current nursing students who reside in Fulton County. You may reapply for this scholarship each year you are a Nursing Major. Due Apr 2. Turn applications into guidance.
Rochester Elks - Must be a resident of Fulton County and a child/grandchild of a member of Elks Lodge #2120. Due Apr 6. Turn applications into guidance.
American Legion Auxiliary - Established several scholarships for Fulton County students interested in attending college or vocational schools. The monetary award will be made at the completion of the first semester or term upon presentation or copy of a grade report. Due Apr 8. Turn applications into guidance.
Rochester IOOF - The Rochester IOOF Lodge #47 is announcing the availability of a $500.00 scholarship to a Fulton County resident wishing to further their education after high school. The $500.00 will be given at the beginning of the student's second term. Due Apr 13. Turn applications into guidance.
Fulton County Pork Producers - Awards scholarships to recognize dedication and commitment to agriculture. The recipient will demonstrate dedication to the agricultural industry with plans to make a significant contribution to the industry upon completion of his/her education. The student can be pursuing a degree in a 2 or 4-year college in an agriculture related field. Due Apr 15. Turn applications into guidance.
STATE/NATIONAL
Ducks Unlimited - The scholarship program is open to all senior student members; however, it is targeted to volunteers who have shown an exceptional level of commitment to wetlands conservation through participation in their DU Varsity (high school) club/chapter and/or local DU community chapter. In addition, students must maintain a 2.8 or higher cumulative high school GPA to apply. Applicants will provide their high school transcript, DU member/volunteer history, a list of any service or academic awards received, and up to three letters of recommendation highlighting their DU involvement and commitment to conservation. In addition, each applicant will write an essay of up to 500 words describing how his or her outdoor experiences have contributed to their understanding of the importance of wetlands and wetlands conservation, and the ways in which he or she has acted and/or intends to act on this knowledge. Due Mar 1.
Marine Corps - Eligibility 1) Child or step-child of one of the following: Active duty, Reserve, or veteran* U.S. Marine, A Marine killed while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, Active duty, reserve, or veteran U.S. Navy Corpsman, Navy Chaplain or Religious Program Specialist who is or was attached to a U.S. Marine Corps unit or who was killed while serving with a U.S. Marine Corps unit 2) Minimum 2.00 GPA 3) Demonstrate financial need through a family adjusted gross income of $129,000 or less for the 2024 tax year. Due Mar 1.
American Welding Society - there are several scholarships to apply for through this site. Some of them require financial need, some require membership to AWS. Each scholarship is worth a minimum of $2,500 and can be used for tuition, fees, books, supplies, and equipment required for the course of instruction. Due Mar 1.
DEWALT Trades - for students enrolled in a post-secondary school or training program; primary focus includes community colleges, vocational or technical institutions, career centers, dual enrollment programs, 2-year transitional programs. Due Feb 28 (or when DEWALT receives the first 1,000 applications).

Davidson Fellows - This scholarship is based on students that have some sort of significant work that experts in the field recognize as meangful and has the potential to make a positive contribution to society. Such work may be an exceptionally, creative application of existing knowledge, a new idea with high impact, an innovative solution with broad-range implications, an important advancement that can be replicated and built upon, an interdisciplinary discovery, a prodigious performance, or another demonstration of extraordinary accomplishment. Due Feb 11.
John & Tamara Lundgren Scholars Program - These $8,000 scholarships are designed to improve the recruitment and retention of talented and motivated students from diverse and historically underrepresented backgrounds, who are pursuing PGA Membership through PGA Golf Management University Programs nationwide. An intentional focus is placed on engaging a diverse demographic of participants, but all are welcome to apply. Students should plan to enroll in fulltime undergraduate study at one of the 17 accredited PGA Golf Management Universities pursuing a PGA Golf Management degree for the entire 2026-2027 academic year, with the intent to pursue PGA of America Membership. Due Feb 6.
Society of Manufacturing Engineers - Students must be pursuing an associate, bachelor's, or graduate degree in technical fields that directly support manufacturing. Minimum GPA 2.0. Awards range from $2,500-$20,000. Due Feb 1.
Material Handling Education Foundation - Students must be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate student pursuing a material handling, logistics or supply chain career at a qualified college or university in a target program (see list below). This scholarship is renewable (must re-apply each year). Due Jan 31.

National Eagle Scout Association - must be an Eagle Scout and member of the National Eagle Scout Association. Due Jan 31.
Indiana Sheriffs' Association Scholarship - for students pursuing a degree in criminal justice studies. 40- $1,000 scholarships awarded throughout the state. Applicant must be an Indiana resident, current member of the association or a dependent child or grandchild of a current member of the association, attend an Indiana college or university full time, and major in a law enforcement field. Due Apr 1.
American Public Works Association - for seniors pursuing a degree in related Public Works fields including but not exclusively in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Public Works Management. The deadline for submission is April 10, 2026. Eligibility: High School Seniors who plan to attend an accredited institution of higher learning during the Fall 2025 Semester at the undergraduate level whose major course of study encompasses the fields of Engineering, Public Works Administration, Public Relations, Finance or other programs within the public works field are eligible. Candidates must reside within Indiana. Students may be part- time or full- time at an accredited institution of higher learning; however, candidates must be seeking a degree.
Nancy Jaynes Memorial Scholarship - up to $2,500 may be awarded to Indiana High School seniors who have lost a parent to breast cancer or have a parent currently undergoing breast cancer treatment. Due Feb 2.
Kiwanis/Key Club Scholarships - several scholarships are offered for Key Club/Kiwanis. Due Feb 1.
Anita F. Boorda Scholarship for the Performing Arts - The Anita F. Boorda Scholarship for the Performing Arts will provide up to $2,500 to high school seniors who plan to pursue a degree in Performing Arts, Music, Theatre, Dance or Production. This scholarship is renewable for up to four years. Due February 15.
Horatio Alger Scholarships - for juniors and seniors. This link allows you to fill out one scholarship for any application that you are eligible for through the Horatio Alger Association. For juniors, due date is Mar 1. For seniors, due date is Feb 15.
PHP Scholarships - For 30 years, PHP has awarded academic scholarships to high school seniors in our service area pursuing careers in health-related fields. First place receives $3,000, second receives $2,000, third receives $1,000. Application and a video must be submitted. Winners are selected based on quality of application, including involvement in health-related activities/volunteerism, GPA (minimum 3.0), and video submission. Due Feb 20.
Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship - The Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship provides high-achieving high school and college students interested in pursuing a career in education the opportunity to earn a renewable scholarship of up to $10,000 each year for four academic years. In exchange, students agree to teach full-time for five years at an eligible Indiana school or repay the corresponding, prorated amount of the scholarship. Students must have 1 of 3 academic requirements: rank in top 20% of high school graduating class; have a top 20% ACT or SAT score; or have a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Due February 28.
Mitch Daniels Early Graduation Scholarship - a one-time $4,000 scholarship for students who graduate from a publicly supported high school at least one year early. The scholarship may be used toward tuition and fees and any remaining funds shall be remitted to the student. This scholarship may not be used for remedial course work. Must complete FAFSA and apply for scholarship through ScholarTrack. Due Aug 31.
Coolidge Scholarship - annually awarded, full-ride, presidential scholarship that covers a student’s tuition, room, board, and expenses for four years of undergraduate study. The Coolidge Scholarship may be used by recipients at any accredited college or university in the United States. Anyone of any background, pursuing any academic discipline of study, may apply to this non-partisan, need-blind, program. Requires reading Coolidge's Autobiography and writing three essays. Due date Dec 16.
Washington Crossing Foundation Scholarship - for seniors interested in a career in government. Scholarships are between $1,000 and $5,000. Winners will have expenses paid to attend the awards ceremony in Pennsylvania. Due Jan 15.
Grand Lodge Knights of Pythias Scholarship - 35 scholarships of $1,000 are awarded. Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA. When you go to the application, select the first application type (public only application). Make sure to fill in all parts of the application and download your transcript BEFORE you hit the submit button. Due January 31.
Indiana Builders Association Educational Scholarship - awards scholarships to deserving students who have chosen building as their future vocation. Scholarships are at least $500 per school year and are non-renewable. Due December 31.
4-H Scholarships - several scholarships for ag students and/or students participating in 4-H. Most are due Jan 25, but some aren't open yet and are due in June.
SCHOLARSHIPS FROM COLLEGES
Eureka College (Illinois) - Ronald Reagan Leadership Program - offers 4 year full tuition scholarships if selected for the program
Indiana State University- Freshman Scholarship Page - this leads to the scholarships available to incoming freshman
IU Bloomington- Cox Scholarship- scholars are provided part-time jobs and receive a scholarship package will total the official cost of attendance (in conjuction with any other insitutional, federal or state funding), requirements for the scholarship are that you are enrolled full time, demonstrate financial need by filling out the FAFSA, and demonstrate that you are a hard worker along with a solid academic record. First Nations Scholarship Program- supports incoming undergraduate Native students, covers the direct cost of attendance for Indiana University Bloomington, plus books and supplies for up to four years. Lauren Robel Bicentennial Scholarship- provides students living in 25 select counties with $2,500 per year renewable for four years, scholarship is automatically awarded to students upon admission to IU Bloomington.
IU South Bend- offers Titan Scholarships: Gold Award $8,000 over four years for those with a GPA of 3.75 or higher, Silver Award $4,000 over four years to those with 3.5 or higher or has Honors diploma and GPA of 3.25 or higher, Onsite Award $3,000 over four years to those with GPA of 3.0 or higher when students apply during a high school visit
Manchester University- Many scholarships are offered; academic scholarship amounts have increased this year! A scholarship is awarded just for visiting their campus. To view the many scholarships Manchester has to offer go to Undergraduate Scholarships for Manchester.
Purdue Ft Wayne Summit Scholars - Two types of scholarships offered through this program. They are premier competitive, merit-based scholarships that offer full tuition, housing, stipend for food, textbooks and fees for up to four years. Student must first apply with PFW. Must meet one of the following qualifications: 3.95 GPA and 90th percentile class rank or 1380 SAT or higher or 29 ACT or higher.
Purdue University (West Lafayette/Indianapolis) Boiler Gold Grant - Undergraduate Indiana residents at the West Lafayette campus, and incoming resident freshmen students at Purdue Indianapolis, that are enrolled full-time (12 credit hours or more) and are pursuing their first bachelor’s degree are eligible. Qualifying students must either be Federal Pell Grant eligible or have a family-adjusted gross income (AGI) of $80,000 or less on the FAFSA. The Boiler Gold Grant covers tuition, fees and books after the total amount of any gift aid (Pell grant, scholarships, awards) is subtracted. Any remaining balance is covered by the Boiler Gold Grant for up to 8 semesters. Housing, dining and course fees are not included in this grant.

MISC SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
- American Indian College Fund – Provides Native American students with scholarships and financial support for the nation’s 33 accredited tribal colleges and universities.
- American Indian Science and Engineering Society - Funding the STEM futures of American Indian, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, and First Nations Students.
- American Indian Graduate Center & AIGCS - The largest scholarship providers to Native students in the United States, awarding $15 million in scholarships annually and more than $200 million since inception. For almost 50 years, AIGC has funded students pursing undergraduate, graduate, and professional degrees in any field of study at any accredited institution of choice, working with over 500 tribes in all 50 states.
- Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund – The nation’s largest non-profit organization devoted to providing college scholarships for Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI).
- Automotive Women's Alliance Foundation Scholarship - Scholarships are awarded to female with North American citizenship and a passion for a career or advancement in the automotive, mobility and its related industries. To be eligible for a scholarship, applicants should be already accepted to or enrolled in an accredited collegiate program, with a 3.0 or higher GPA. Applications accepted throughout the year.
- Aya Healthcare Future Travel Nurse Scholarship - Whether you’re already attending nursing school or were just accepted, we encourage you to apply for the Aya Healthcare Future Travel Nurse Scholarship. Each year, up to ten (10) $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to nursing students who have a 3.0 gpa or higher, are involved in extracurricular organizations and are passionate about patient care.

- Dell Scholars Program – Recognizes academic potential and determination in students that have a definite need for financial assistance.

- The Gates Scholarship - The Gates Scholarship (TGS) is a highly selective, last-dollar scholarship for outstanding high school seniors from low-income households.
- Going Merry - A free, one-stop scholarships platform. It matches you with scholarships and then helps you apply directly. It has both local and national scholarships and you can bulk-apply for multiple scholarships, which share similar essay prompts, using one application.
- Goizueta Legacy Scholarship - Provides scholarships for the children of Coca-Cola employees.
- HS Finder (Hispanic Scholarship Fund) – Scholarship information for Latino students.
- Jack Kent Cooke Foundation - A national scholarship provider dedicated to advancing the education of promising students who have financial need. Open to high-achieving high school seniors who seek to attend and graduate from some of the nation's best four-year college and universities.
- Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship - JRF Scholars receive college scholarships of up to $35,000 over four years and are financially sponsored to attend JRF‘s annual, four-day “Mentoring and Leadership Conference“ in New York City and other events throughout the year. Aside from generous financial support, Scholars benefit from a comprehensive, four-year program that includes career guidance, internship and permanent job placement, travel abroad, and leadership and practical life skills training.

- National Space Club and Foundation Keynote Scholar Application - Provided to a high school senior, undergraduate or graduate student with definite plans to pursue a career in the Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) fields. Since 2013, The National Space Club and Foundation has offered the opportunity for a student to give the keynote address at the National Space Club and Foundation's annual Goddard Memorial Dinner, one of the space industry's most prestigious gatherings. In addition to speaking at the Goddard Memorial Dinner, the individual selected will also receive a scholarship, in the amount of $20,000.
- The NSHSS Foundation - The NSHSS Foundation fosters the growth of students pursuing the STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math), business, economics, public policy, and environmental science and sustainability fields. The NSHSS Foundation connects young scholars with additional opportunities to advance their education, personal growth and career interests.

- Ron Brown Scholar Program - The Ron Brown Scholar Program provides $40,000 scholarships to African American high school seniors who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and a commitment to community service.
